Kelly Clarkson covered Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” on her latest The Kelly Clarkson Show episode during her ‘Kellyoke’ segment on Thursday (Sept. 24).

The performance featured the Texas native singing the popular country anthem while backed by her band and a backup singer. With her impressive vocals on full display, Clarkson delivered a spirited cover of the megahit, once again proving she can sing just about anything.

“Tennessee Whiskey” was co-written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove. The track was first made famous by country singer George Jones in 1983 before Stapleton took the song and stunned with his rendition, making it his own.
