Megan Moroney steps into the role of co-director for her just-released “Am I Okay?” music video, bringing the song’s storyline to life through stunning visuals and scenes drenched in her signature shade of royal blue.

The clip opens with the Georgia native recreating her Am I Okay? album cover, checking her pulse as she sings the opening verse. Moroney goes on to play “he loves me, he loves me not,” with blue roses before the video cuts to her forming a blossoming romance with a co-worker.

When that relationship falls apart, a new one with a football player begins to flourish. This relationship quickly gets squashed when she realizes that the football player is playing games on and off the field when she discovers that there’s another woman in the picture.

Next, she tries dating a man who seems to be a self-absorbed celebrity. She wastes no time breaking this short-lived romance off.

Soon, she finds herself at a table with all of her exes and instantly sets her eyes on a new man, who flashes her a sweet smile. Together, they run off into a field together where a blue door awaits them, possibly signifying the door to their future together. At the end, Moroney looks into the camera with a subtle smile, leaving viewers to derive their own story about what happens next.

“The music video takes you through what love ‘always was’ — a lot of failed attempts at finding the ‘right one’ and reminds you that the ‘right one’ may have been there all long if you look real close,” ] Moroney, who directed the clip with Alexandra Gavillet, explained. “I loved creating the concept for the video because it portrays what ‘Am I Okay?’ feels like to me— finally meeting the one that makes all the wrong ones feel worth it. And maybe that’s happened or maybe it’s totally made up in my head, I guess we’ll never know!”

“Am I Okay?” is the latest single off her sophomore album of the same name, which marked the 2024’s third-biggest Billboard 200 debut from a female Country artist. As a follow-up, Moroney shared Am I Okay? (I’ll Be Fine), a deluxe edition of the project with three new tracks earlier this month.

Moroney continues to prove she’s a force in country music and will bring her beloved songs and stories on the road with her AM I OKAY? TOUR, launching early next year. This headlining trek will find the chart-topping star performing for some of her biggest crowds to date, and many of the shows are already sold out.

Soon, she will compete in three categories for the 58th Annual CMA Awards where she is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Music Video of the Year (for “I’m Not Pretty”), and New Artist of the Year. Hosted by Luke Bryan, Peyton Manning, and Lainey Wilson, the 58th Annual CMA Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 20 (8:00 – 11:00 PM/EST) on ABC and available the next day on Hulu.
