Shaboozey has experienced a whirlwind of milestones since the start of the year and the fun continued when he made his debut at CMA Fest in Nashville with his RIAA platinum-certified hit, “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”

The high-energy performance, which aired on ABC on Tuesday, June 25, found the emerging artist getting up close and personal with thousands of fans on the main stage at Nissan Stadium. Together, they celebrated the success of the summertime anthem by singing and dancing along to catchy lyrics that serve as the perfect soundtrack to a night out after a long day’s work. Shaboozey’s alt-country/hip-hop sound came to life as his baritone vocals barreled through the speakers while making his way from one end of the stage to the next in his stylish ensemble of a suede jacket and blue jeans.

“One, here comes the two to the three to the four/ Tell ’em bring another out, we need plenty more/ Two steppin’ on the table, she don’t need a dance floor/ Oh my, good Lord/ Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey/ They know me and Jack Daniels got a history/ There’s a party downtown near Fifth Street/ Everybody at the bar gettin’ tipsy,” he sings on the chorus.

Before taking the stage, Shaboozey reflected on the rapid rise in success of “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and how as a result, it’s now being dubbed the “song of the summer.”

“I feel like every time you hear that song, you just know it’s a time to have fun and let loose. So I would love it for it to be the song of the summer. If that’s the case, then it’s going to be a good summer,” he shared.

“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” appears on the Nigerian-American hitmaker’s highly anticipated album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Goingwhich debuted at No.5 the Billboard 200 album chart upon its release on May 31 via EMPIRE.

This appearance in Nashville marks Shaboozey’s CMA Fest debut as well as his first-ever stadium show.
