Country hitmaker Jimmie Allen is officially a father of three!

The Dancing With The Stars contestant and his wife Alexis welcomed their second child together, joining their 1-year-old daughter Naomi, and Allen’s 7-year-old son, Aadyn, from a previous relationship.

Zara James Allen arrived on Saturday, October 16, according to the singer/songwriter, who shared the exciting news via his official Facebook group: “Jimmie Allen Fans.”

“Baby Zara is Here. Alexis and Zara are both doing great,” the proud father shared.

Allen was scheduled to perform at Forest City Pavilion on Park Square in Forest City, North Carolina on Saturday, October 16, however, hours ahead of the show, he revealed that he had a family emergency and that the show would be rescheduled.

The Delaware native first announced that he and his wife were expecting a second child together in early June. At that time, Jimmie shared a mashup of iconic movie and television shows, including Home Alone, Diff’rent Strokes, The Sandlot, Knocked Up and more with the caption, “Well…” and tagged his wife, Lexi.

Recently, during an interview with Audacy’s Rob + Holly, the country hitmaker said that he hoped his wife would give birth to their newest addition while he performed on Dancing With The Stars.

“The ideal plan would be to have this baby while I’m dancing, right? Then the cameras turn to me FaceTiming my wife, on the dance floor, while she’s having this baby,” Allen previously shared.

Allen continued, “Yes, that would require me not being there, BUT… I feel like if that happened, God gave us this gift of perfect publicity and exposure to introduce our baby girl to the world because she’s special. She’s a star! The world should see her arrival… I don’t want to keep our baby locked up with her arrival to the world in a little bitty ol’ hospital room. No! I want this to be on national television with the stars, and I want everyone to watch… it’s like The Lion King! The baby would be like baby Simba!”

Jimmie and Alexis officially tied the knot in late May 2021 during an intimate ceremony in Allen’s home state of Delaware. Their wedding ceremony was a star-studded affair with special guests including Chuck Wicks and his wife, Kasi, Darius Rucker, and Tyler Rich and his wife, Sabina.

Months later, Jimmie and Alexis revealed that they secretly wed the year before on the singer/songwriter’s birthday: June 18, 2020.

“We haven’t officially announced this, but we’ve actually been married for a year,” Alexis explained. “We got married on his birthday — June 18 — last year. Actually publicly being Mr. and Mrs. has been really exciting! I thought it was going to be the same, but I feel like it’s a new honeymoon stage for us. We get to wear our rings out in public.”

Jimmie admitted that getting married wasn’t always a part of his life plan, however, that all changed when he met Alexis.

“I wanted to be a dad and do music, that’s it,” he said. “I never wanted to get married. The whole husband thing was not something I ever wanted to do. But Alexis changed that. Now, I like it. It gives me some security — she can’t just be like, ‘I’m done.’ Divorce is a lot of paperwork!”

The couple got engaged while visiting Disney World in July 2019. They welcomed their first daughter, Naomi, in March 2020.

The “Freedom Was A Highway” singer is currently nominated for New Artist of the Year for the upcoming 55th Annual CMA Awards.
