Brett Young is sharing one of his most personal songs to date with the release of “Lady,” a heartfelt tune he wrote in honor of his wife, Taylor, and daughter, Presley.

After debuting “Lady” during his headlining Chapters Tour earlier this year, Young is releasing the poignant song to country radio as the follow-up to his latest chart-topping single, “Catch.”

“Lady” finds Young crooning over his undying love for his daughter and confessing that he hopes she follows in her mother’s footsteps. The piano-driven ballad opens with the sound of a fetal heartbeat, which begins to fade away as Young’s irresistible vocals take over.

“I hope you look just like your momma/ And love her like I do/ You’ll see close to perfect patience/ If you watch your every move/ You can always run to daddy/ You’ll always be my baby, but/ Look at her, baby girl/ And you’ll learn/ How to be a lady/ Just how to be a lady,” Young sings on the chorus.

“So excited to finally introduce “Lady” to the world,” Young shared on Twitter. “It is easily one of the most special songs I’ve ever written.”

He went on to call the emotional track “a love letter to my beautiful wife and daughter.” Click above to listen to “Lady.”

The release of “Lady” comes just weeks after Young earned his sixth consecutive chart-topping single with”Catch.”
