Chris Janson returns to the top of the Billboard Country Airplay chart this week with his latest single, “Done.”
The romantic song was an instant hit among the singer/songwriter’s fan base and serves as a tribute to his wife, Kelly.
“Done/ The first time I saw you, done/ Like the first dance was through, I was done/ That one kiss, I knew/ There was nothing I wouldn’t do…,” Janson sings on the opening verse.
The platinum-selling star co-wrote the song alongside first-time chart-toppers Mitch Oglesby, Jamie Paulin and Matt Roy.
“The moment I first saw my wife Kelly, I knew that was it. I was done,” Janson said. “This song is about knowing right then and there that I’d work for the rest of my life to make her happy. It’s just the truth. That’s why it’s so special. A big thanks and congratulations to my co-writers Mitch, Jamie and Matt for helping make this song come to life. And, of course, to country radio for sharing it with the world.”
“Done” is featured on Janson’s Real Friends album, which also includes the smash hit “Good Vibes” as well as the title track, a collaboration with his label mate Blake Shelton.
