Dan + Shay Drop Three New Songs In Preparation For Forthcoming ‘Bigger Houses’ Album
This set of new music includes thier latest single, “Save Me The Trouble.”

Dan + Shay recently dropped a mini documentary titled, “The Drive,” which finds members Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney unpacking their recent struggles with mental health and maintaining a work/life balance. Plus, they revealed that they are embarking on a fresh chapter with their forthcoming fifth studio album titled BIGGER HOUSES, which will be available everywhere September 15.
Taking to social media to announce the new collection, they wrote, “We poured every bit of our hearts into this album and truly cannot wait for y’all to hear it. New era starts now! 🏠”
Fans are getting the first taste of the duo’s full-length project through two new songs, “Heartbreak On The Map” and the title track, “Bigger Houses,” as well as their latest single, “Save Me The Trouble.”
Out Friday, July 14, “Save Me The Trouble” was co-produced by Scott Hendricks alongside Dan Smyers who also served as a co-writer with his bandmate Shay Mooney as well as Ashley Gorley, Jordan Minton, and Jordon Reynolds.
The GRAMMY-award winning duo come together to deliver a string of silky harmonies that are driven by great resilience and a pleading for heartache to find its way to someone else. As they belt out the upbeat tune filled with hard-hitting production, Dan + Shay beg the love interest at hand to walk away before pain becomes the forefront of their relationship.
“Why don’t you save me the trouble / Keep those pretty blue eyes to yourself / Why don’t you save me the trouble / Give that heartache to somebody else / If you’re the kinda girl that’s only gonna wanna love and leave / A guy like me alone in this bar drinkin’ double / Why don’t you save me the trouble / Save me the trouble, baby,” they sing on the chorus.

“Heartbreak On The Map” follows a similar path of divulging into the incredibly strong power of love, both the good and the bad. Meanwhile, “Bigger Houses” exposes a dreamy outlook on life that puts forth the message that happiness doesn’t always come from having bigger and better things and that sometimes, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side.
All three of the new releases have been with an accompanying music video that brings the songs to life in their own respective ways.
Hot On The Heels of Good Things
Dan + Shay’s next album will follow their Platinum-certified 2021 project, Good Things, which spawned their most recent radio hit, “You,” as well as three other no. 1 singles that have also been certified platinum, “I Should Probably Go To Bed” and “Glad You Exist,” which marked the duo’s sixth consecutive No.1 and ninth career No.1. This collection also included the 5x Multi-Platinum global smash, “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber.
Good Things achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first country album in the streaming era to receive anRIAA Gold certification upon release. Furthermore, it stands as one of only 12 albums, spanning across all genres, to achieve Gold status in 2021.
Joining The Voice
Along with their soon-to-be-released album, Dan + Shay have also been tapped to join the coaching panel for Season 25 of NBC’s The Voice. The country music duo have proved that they are more than qualified to sit in the coveted Double Chair and lend their wisdom to the upcoming group of contestants.
Their resume features a long list of impressive accolades including becoming the first and only artist to win the GRAMMY Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance 3x consecutively since the category’s inception, claiming the winning titles of 2x CMA Awards Duo of the Year and 3x ACM Awards Duo of the Year and more.
In 2024, Dan + Shay will step into “The Double Chair,” a brand-new element that was announced via social media. The graphic simply featured an image of the new chairs with the caption, “incoming: 2024 Coaches !!! double chair!!! epic lineup!!! stay tuned!!!”
They will join the star-studded panel of coaches that includes John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Reba McEntire.
The duo also has a slew of tour dates scheduled through the summer and into the fall. Their next performance is set for August 4 in Atlantic City, NJ.
