The brand new season of The Masked Singer recently debuted and after a few performances from the Sun, fans are convinced a popular country music star is behind the mask.

Several clues about the Sun have been revealed so far. She is said to have “set quite a few records,” had some “extreme seasons” in her life, and “felt like the center of the universe” when she initially “sprung into existence,” but that the pressures of the spotlight had her feeling “burned out” an ultimately found her falling into a “deep depression.”

In the latest clue-filled video, the Sun admits to missing out on “a lot” on her childhood and to “growing up in a fractured home.” She also talks about burning “ugly rumors” out of her life.

Rimes, who rose to fame when she was just 13 years old, has been open about issues with her parents, specifically her father, whom she sued in the year 2000. Her private life became the center of tabloid scrutiny when she was caught having an affair with her now-husband Eddie Cibrian while she was married to Dean Sheremet.

Not only do the clues point to Rimes, but her voice is also easily identifiable in her performance clips, specifically when she performed Lizzo’s “Cuz I Love You.” After her performance, fans found a video of Rimes performing the same song in 2019 and the resemblance is uncanny.

While all signs seem to point toward LeAnn Rimes, some viewers think the Sun might be Christina Aguilera, Demi Lovato or Kylie Jenner.

Do you think the Sun is LeAnn Rimes? If so, this won’t be the first time a country artist has appeared on The Masked Singer. Last season, Hunter Hayes was revealed as the man behind the astronaut mask.
