Country superstar Kane Brown and Grammy-award winning rapper Nelly just revealed plans to release a remix of Brown’s latest single, “Cool Again.” The new version of the song will feature a verse from the rapper.

According to an Instagram post from Nelly, the pair shot the video for “Cool Again” on Thursday (June 25) in Miami, Florida. Nelly told fans the clip would be released very soon, however, an official release date has yet to be announced.

“Me and Nephew (referring to Kane Brown) did a video today for one of the dopest tracks that I’ve done this far, it’s called ‘Cool Again’ and I want to thank Nephew Kane Brown for allowing me to be apart of it. So y’all gonna see that sh-t real soon,” Nelly revealed.

Nelly went on to boast about Brown’s forthcoming EP and even revealed a few collaborations features that will appear on the project, including H.E.R., Swae Lee and Khalid.

“His EP is ridiculous, he’s got like some classics on there, you got H.E.R. on there, Swae Lee, Khalid,” Nelly shared.

“Ayo Cool Again / I really wish that I was kickin’ back with you again / Somewhere up there, checkin out the view again / cause every time we do it, it’s like new again / it feel like new again,” Nelly sings in the new rap verse.

Brown originally released the song in late April. “Cool Again” finds the superstar “going crazy” over an ex, wishing that things could go back to the way they were when they were together.

“Cool Again” was co-written by Brown alongside Josh Hoge, Matthew McGinn and Lindsay Rimes. The fan-favorite track will appear on Brown’s forthcoming EP, which is expected to drop sometime this year. The song is co-produced by Dann Huff and Lindsay Rimes, and is the follow-up to Brown’s chart-topping single, “Homesick,” which became his fifth consecutive No.1 single earlier this year.

Fans can hear a snippet of the newly announced collaboration with Nelly in the video above.
