Lily Pearl Black is celebrating her father, country music legend Clint Black, with a heartfelt birthday tribute.
In a social media post that included a gallery of precious family photos from throughout her life, Lily Pearl called herself “the luckiest girl in the world” to have him as her dad.
“You cheer me on ,, you root for my success,, you make me laugh,, you lecture me (i’ll admit i appreciate it…sometimes),, you give me the best advice i could ever ask for,, you inspire me to work as hard as i possibly can,, you give me a shoulder to lean on …. or cry on sometimes,, and you love me unconditionally,” she sweetly captioned the post.
Lily went on to share just how much her father means to her, acknowledging the lasting impact he’s had on her life and career. “If I’m only half the person you are, I’m already winning,” she added.
She also made sure to give a shoutout to her mother, actress and singer Lisa Hartman Black, crediting her parents for making “life worth living.”
Lily Pearl Black often tours with her parents, most recently on the Mostly Hits and The Mrs. Tour, where she often shared the stage with her father during the show.

While she grew up watching her dad experience life on tour, Lily Pearl, truly got to experience what comes along with road life while touring with her parents.
She previously told us, “It’s interesting because I’ve seen my dad doing it my whole life and I never understood any of it. I thought I did, but the older I get, the more I understand the pressure and the stress and anxiety that can come with it and that it’s totally normal. I’m really lucky that my parents are my best friends. To be coming into this with all of that natural stress and nerves and all of the above, I have them by my side showing me the do’s and the don’t’s and just, not holding my hand through it, but in a kind of emotional sense, they are. But they’re also letting me learn from my mistakes and go through the hard stuff. That way, when I am hopefully doing it on my own, I’m not lost.”

When nerves creep in, her dad reminds her that mistakes are inevitable and encourages her to “be the first person to laugh at yourself.” In addition to this valuable advice and keeping a strong vocal routine, Lily shared that her parents have also instilled in her the importance of staying true to herself, no matter what.
“It’s very easy to not necessarily lose yourself, but just kind of get caught up in things and forget, you know, what you are, who you are, and where you come from and let things get to your head, stress, whatever it is. The best advice they have ever given me is to be myself and that’s either gonna work for me or it’s not,” she shared. If it doesn’t, you know, oh well, because people love people for who they are and trying to be someone that you’re not is not the way they raised me to do it, at least.”
Lily Pearl Black recently attended the 2024 CMA Awards with her dad.
