Sabrina Carpenter may be a “pop princess,” but her latest announcement indicates she’s dipping her toe in the realm of country music.

In honor of taking home two wins at this weekend’s GRAMMY Awards ceremony, Carpenter thanked her fans by revealing that a deluxe edition of her sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet will be unveiled on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 15).  The biggest surprise of all is that a collaboration with the one and only, Dolly Parton, will be featured among the newly added songs.

The “Espresso” singer dropped this major news via social media on Tuesday (Feb 4.) with a new version of the cover art as well as a piece of paper covered in lipstick stains with the extended track list. Within the handwritten notes, Parton’s name appears on track number 14 as a featured artist on a reprised version of Carpenter’s No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, “Please Please Please.”

Her caption read, “as a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’) short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre order.. out February 14th!  and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. 💋💋💋she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy shit!!!!!”

The “Jolene” singer showcased her own excitement in the comment section by sharing a set of emojis, “❤️🦋.”

Short n’ Sweet Deluxe will offer five new songs including “15 Minutes,” “Please Please Please (feat. Dolly Parton),” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.”

This collaboration with Parton may feel unexpected, but Carpenter actually dropped a major hint when she performed a cover of the iconic tune, “9 To 5” during her stop at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena in October as part of her Short n’ Sweet Tour.

The 25-year-old music sensation showed off her signature blonde curls once again over the weekend when she delivered a medley of her two GRAMMY-nominated hits on stage of the 67th annual awards ceremony.

She went into the evening with six nominations in categories including album of the year (“Short n’ Sweet”), record of the year (“Espresso”), song of the year (“Please Please Please”), Best Pop Solo Performance (“Espresso”), Best Pop Vocal Album (“Short n’ Sweet”), and best new artist. Carpenter ended up taking home two Gramophones for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

“cannot believe life had to post this in the moment but will talk to you later,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her cradling her two awards.

This achievement came hot on the heels of a milestone year for Carpenter. She racked up the accolades in 2024 and is now kicking off 2025 on a high note.

Next up, she will bring her Short N’ Sweet Tour to Europe & the UK in March. Her first stop will be in Ireland followed by several shows in the UK, France, Denmark, Belgium and Netherlands.
