Morris’ 2020 tour announcement comes just weeks before she will welcome her first child with Hurd. The couple is expecting a baby boy in March. Being eight months pregnant, the Grammy-winning star is keeping things pretty low-key at the moment, however, she has one show on the books prior to her son’s arrival: the Houston Rodeo on March 7.
“It’s a couple weeks before my due date,” Morris recently said (quote via Nash Country Daily). “I’m nervous, but I’ve talked to my doctor about it, and I’m going to fly in and out the same day, and just keep it super chill. My set is at like 6 p.m., and it’s not too long of a flight, so I could be back in Nashville by 9:00, hopefully. It’s a pretty crazy concept.”
Morris recently topped the charts with “The Bones.” The track the first song by a solo female artist to top the Billboard country charts since last summer when her critically-acclaimed track “GIRL” reached the No.1 spot. Prior to that, a solo female artist had not claimed the top spot on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart since February 2018 when Kelsea Ballerini’s “Legends” reached No.1.
Her brand new single, “To Hell & Back,” will be hitting country radio soon.
