After nearly 14 years of marriage, Nicole Kidman just revealed her nickname for Keith Urban and it’s something fans would never guess.
In a recent interview with WSJ Magazine, the award-winning actress shared that she lovingly refers to her Grammy-winning husband as “mellow muso.” The term muso is an Australian slang word for musician.
“He’s pretty much the flip side of neurotic,” she explained, adding that Urban would be the first person she would turn to in the case of an emergency.
Kidman, who shares daughters Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 9, with Urban, went on to discuss their family life and how they have “a system worked out to keep the family together.”
“When Keith’s not touring, it’s much easier. He’ll be on tour next year, and then I just don’t work as much. Literally — it will become imbalanced, and we will change it,” Kidman explaining, adding that she will even “pass on films” to ensure their family-work balance isn’t thrown off.
“We don’t have the answers, but the one thing we do know is that we will not jeopardize us,” she assured.
Kidman and Urban are self-isolating together during these times of uncertainty and even though the times are trying, they are making the most of the situation.
“[We’ve had] lots and lots of family time, and I’ve actually been really enjoying that, honestly. [We are] just being creative as a family with how we use our time and help other people in any ways we can do, even if it is something like an at-home concert,” Urban shared during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. “It’s our little bit to try and help out.”
On top of sharing at-home performances with fans, Urban also dropped an infectious new single from his upcoming album. The genre-bending “Polaroid” is out now.
