Following her viral successes, Priscilla Block has signed her first-ever major label deal with Universal Music Group Nashville.
“All of us at UMG are beyond thrilled that Priscilla has decided to join our family,” says UMG Nashville CEO & Chairman Mike Dungan. “With a massive fan base already in place, we are excited to take her and her music to the Universe!”
Luke Bryan even welcomed Block to the UMG Nashville family via an Instagram comment saying “Congrats on being part of the family.”
The sought-after country newcomer quickly went viral on TikTok after releasing her single “Just About Over You,” which debuted at the top of the all-genre iTunes chart within just 12 hours of its release. The track was co-written by Block alongside Emily Kroll and Sarah Jones, and was released independently through the support of her dedicated fanbase who rallied together to finance the recording after Block teased the song on social media.
“Just About Over You” has now been unleashed onto Country Radio via Mercury Nashville/InDent Records.
“My song ‘Just About Over You’ is based on a true story. You know, I ran into my ex at a bar, came back, wrote this song with some girlfriends,” says Priscilla. “The fans kind of jumped behind this song and made this possible for me to even record it and release it. This song means, honestly, the entire world to me because I finally feel like the world gets to hear my music starting with this song.”
Block recently debuted her new song “PMS” on September 16, which has already amassed over 100k streams in just a week after its release. You can hear the new song below.
Congratulations Priscilla Block.
