The Voice Finalist Morgan Myles took to social media to share a secret that she has holding in “for months.”
The season 22 contestant excitedly revealed that she has signed a record deal with music production company KZZ Music and Blue Élan Records. The announcement post included a slideshow of photos commemorating the moment she signed the papers, signaling the start of an opportunity that is destined to take her career to new heights.
Her caption read, “Welp been holding this in for months now and we finally inked my RECORD DEAL in LA last week with @blueelan & @_kzzmusic 🥹 Words can’t express my gratitude to be working with an amazing team who embraces my versatility as an artist, I finally feel understood for the first time.”
Myles went on to share her gratitude for all those who have guided her along the way, especially label head Kirk Pasich, who has opened the doors and allowed her to embark on this new journey.
“Thank you @kirk_pasich for being such a beautiful passionate label head and striving to give artists the most artist-friendly deal you can. I’ve been wanting to feel safe and surrounded by good people and God finally lead me here.”
After 18 years of working hard and trying to make it among all the other incredible talent in Nashville, Myles can confidently say she is “just getting started.”
“🙏🏻🥂 Here’s to a wonderful new chapter,” she wrote in conclusion.
In addition to signing a record deal, Morgan Myles is gearing up to release her new single, “Vertigo” on August 8. As she revealed in a recent Instagram post, this song has sitting in among her catalog of tunes for two years, and now it’s finally time to let the world hear what she’s been working on.
Fans were quick to share their excitement for the new music in the comment section.
One user wrote, “So happy this is coming out! 🙏🏻✨” while another said, “Ooooo cannot wait! Congratulations.”
“Vertigo” will mark Myles’ second solo release of 2023, following her cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which was also the song she used to blow away the judges during her bind audition on The Voice.
While her impressive vocals caught the attention of all four of The Voice coaches: Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, she ultimately choose to work with Cabello.
Morgan Myles has spent the year bringing her music to life on stage and she’s showing no signs of slowing down. The “Woman Of My Word” singer is next slated to perform in Evansville, IN on August 4 before visiting Bishop Hill, IL, Des Moines, IA, Woodstock, GA and more.
The next set of hopeful contestants will get their chance to follow in Myles’ footsteps on Season 24. Reba McEntire, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan will return to their coaching chairs on September 25.
McEntire was tapped to serve as Blake Shelton’s replacement following his recent retirement from the show. Additionally, it has been revealed that the “I’m A Survivor” singer will serve as a coach for back-to-back seasons beginning in the fall.
Then, McEntire will return to her red chair in 2024. Joining her on the coaching panel for Season 25 will be John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and the newest addition, Dan + Shay.
The country music duo will be stepping into “The Double Chair,” an exciting new element that has previously been incorporated into versions of the singing competition show that are broadcasted from other countries. However, this will be a first for the U.S. version of The Voice.
With the addition of “The Double Chair“, this process will be slightly altered because while Dan + Shay will each have their own chair, they will share a button between them.
Viewers will see this special element unfold in the new season which premieres September 25 at 8/7c on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
