Travis Denning and Jordan Davis struck up a conversation about life and music while cooking ribs in the just-released season finale of Travis Denning and Friends Do Stuff, premiering on Country Now.
The latest episode of Denning’s variety series takes place in Davis’ backyard where the “How To Not” singer schools Denning on how to grill the perfect slabs of ribs.
“We are here to drink some beer….we’re gonna cook some ribs,” Denning shares in the clip.
“I’m gonna let you do the cooking on that,” he goes on to tell Davis. “I’m worth a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich, that’s about it.”
Davis gets right to it and reveals the secret to getting the best-tasting ribs.
“We got us a nice slab of ribs here,” he says. “This is called Hoover sauce. I marinate all my deer, duck, everything, in this stuff.”
As the ribs hit the grill for a nice slow roast, Denning and Davis bond over football and music as they throw back a few cold ones.

Since launching his weekly variety series in early May, Denning has shown viewers more than just country music talent. He’s been letting them in on his vibrant personality too.
Last week, he took fans along for a fishing trip with his buddies from Georgia and before that, he took viewers to the gym as fellow country star Kip Moore coached him through a difficult workout routine. Earlier in May, Denning showed off his stellar guitar skills alongside Brother’s Osborne’s John Osborne, and before that, he took on Bobby Bones, LANCO, and Adam Hambrick in a game of HORSE. In the first episode, Denning endured a Nashville hot chicken challenge alongside Maddie & Tae.
Aside from treating fans to his weekly variety series, Denning has been staying busy, focusing on music. His latest single, “ABBY” – short for “anybody but you” – is at country radio now. He’s also preparing to hit the road with Brothers Osborne on their We’re Not For Everyone Tour, on top of playing various festivals throughout the summer.
Fans can keep up with Denning by following him on Instagram.
