Stagecoach – California’s Country Music Festival – closed out on Sunday with an epic set from Luke Combs and an unforgettable collaboration between Combs and fellow country superstar Cody Johnson.
Combs, who headlined the festival on Sunday, invited Johnson to join him on stage for a performance of Brooks & Dunn’s debut smash, “Brand New Man.”
The pair’s rowdy performance evoked a massive sing-along from the crowd, who shouted the lyrics to the iconic song at the top of their lungs along with the country superstars.
Johnson documented the memorable moment on Instagram with a video captioned, “Thank you for an amazing weekend at @stagecoach! Can’t wait share the stage again with @lukecombs.”
At the end of the video Combs can be heard calling Cody Johnson “the baddest dude in country music.”
Fans took to the comments section to share their excitement over the collaborative performance.
One Instagram user dubbed it “Top 5 favorite moment of my entire life,” while another wrote, “MY DREAM DUO!”
Combs and Johnson’s on-stage collab at Stagecoach won’t be the only time they share the stage together this year as Johnson is set to join Combs on his upcoming stadium shows this summer.
The stadium dates featuring Luke Combs and Cody Johnson with Morgan Wade and Zach Bryan include the following:
May 21, 2022 – Denver, Colorado – Empower Field
June 4, 2022 – Seattle, Washington – Lumen Field
