Kelly Clarkson is kicking off the weekend with a fun-filled cover of “Footloose.”

The superstar performed the iconic Kenny Loggins hit during The Kelly Clarkson Show on Friday (April 8).

Along with her band, Y’all, the Texas native delivered a rousing rendition of “Footloose” as members of the audience danced and sang along.

“Footloose” was written by Loggins with Dean Pitchford. I was released in 1984 and was featured in the film of the same name. The multi-week chart-topper was later recorded by country superstar Blake Shelton for the remake of the movie in 2011.

Clarkson shares a variety of covers during the “Kellyoke” segment of her show, including a recent rendition of Blake Shelton‘s “Who Are You When I’m Not Looking” and Faith Hill‘s “Let’s Go To Vegas.”

She has previously performed songs such as Billy Currington’s “Let Me Down Easy,” Faith Hill’s “It Matters To Me,” Pam Tillis’ “Maybe It Was Memphis,” Wynonna’s “No One Else On Earth” and Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina, Tails California.

Other “Kellyoke” segments have also featured covers of Blake SheltonJohnny Cash, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini (just to name a few).

Fans can catch Kelly Clarkson on NBC’s American Song Contest, where she serves as co-host alongside Snoop Dogg. The new reality series airs Mondays at 8/7c on NBC.
