Kelly Clarkson covered Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing” on latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show during her ‘Kellyoke’ segment on Tuesday (April 6).
The performance featured the Texas native singing the popular country hit while backed by her band and a backup singers. With her powerhouse vocals on full display, Clarkson delivered an impressive cover of the hit, once again proving she can sing just about anything.
“A Broken Wing” was co-written by James House alongside Sam Hogin and Phil Barnhart and appears as the second single on McBride’s 1997 album, Evolution. The song then went on to earn McBride her second No. 1 single in January 1998.

Previous “Kellyoke” segments have featured covers of Blake Shelton, Johnny Cash, Lady A, Rascal Flatts, Travis Tritt, Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini (just to name a few).
