The Judds have not appeared at the CMT Music Awards in over two decades but on Monday (April 11) night all of that changed. The legendary mother-daughter duo, consisting of Naomi and Wynonna Judd, returned to the televised awards show stage with a history-making performance of their classic country hit “Love Can Build A Bridge.”
Making their highly anticipated moment one to remember, The Judds brought people together while showcasing their signature harmonies on the powerful lyrics of their uplifting international hit written by Naomi with Paul Overstreet and John Barlow Jarvis. Midway through their performance, they were joined by a chorus of Gospel singers who donned white gowns, which made the moment even more spectacular.
Going into Country Music’s Biggest Party, The Judds announced their Fall 2022 Arena Tour called The Final Tour. The 10-date trek and their first in over a decade will feature special guest Martina McBride. The Final Tour kicks off on Friday, September 30 in Grand Rapids, MI at Van Andel Arena before concluding in Nashville, TN at Bridgestone Arena on Friday, October 28.
Walker Hayes, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Old Dominion, and Carly Pearce were among some of the performers who took the stage at the 2022 CMT Music Awards. Jason Aldean and Bryan Adams, Jimmie Allen with Monica and Little Big Town, Guyton and Black Pumas, Thomas Rhett and Riley Green, and Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson also shared the stage for never before seen collaborations.
The 56th annual fan-voted CMT Music Awards, hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, Kane Brown, and Anthony Mackie, aired live on Monday (April 11) on CBS at 8:00 p.m. ET. The show was also available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
