It’s official – Chris Young has recruited his longtime friend Kane Brown to join him on his next single, “Famous Friends.”

After teasing the song for months, Young made the official announcement on Monday (Nov. 16), revealing that the long-awaited collaboration would be available beginning Friday (Nov. 20).

“I can finally announce that my next single is dropping this Friday and is a collab with @kanebrown_music! It’s called “Famous Friends” and I can’t wait for you to hear it,” Young wrote.

Brown shared a teaser of the song to his social media accounts in early May, urging fans to “blow up” Young so he would release the song.

“Blow up @ChrisYoungMusic and tell him to release our feature so u can hear the rest of the song,” Brown wrote on Twitter at the time. “We all have famous friends.”

“Famous Friends” is a celebration of everyday people, like teachers, preachers and police officers, who are famous in their small towns.

This isn’t the first time the superstars have joined forces. Brown and Young previously collaborated on the track “Setting the Night on Fire,” which appeared on the deluxe edition of Brown’s self-titled debut album. The singer/songwriters also toured together during Chris Young’s Losing Sleep 2018 World Tour.
